Our lovely campground is located on 26 wooded acres. Shady and Sunny sites are available. We have a total of 40 sites, 30 are water and  electric pull-through sites that can accommodate most 5th wheels and motor homes. 10 are electric back in sites. Our bathhouse has separate accommodations for men and women (ADA Approved). Sites have fire pits and picnic tables. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and you must clean up after them (keep your pooper scooper handy). We also have 2 rustic cabins for sleeping only. (No Pets! No Smoking!) They accommodate up to 4 people, 1 double bed and 2 twin beds. Bring your own sleeping bags or bedding.
Also take advantage of our Propane station and dumping station.
We would like to thank all of our guests and all of our future guests for making Happi Days a huge success.  We here at Happi Days are looking forward to many years of serving our great friends and guests.

Shel-Haven Welcomes You
Shel-Haven Canoe Rental is located on the beautiful Manistee River, just 8 miles west of Grayling on M-72.  We are open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on the weekends in spring and fall.  Any other time by appointment.

The Tompkins Family and our experienced crew welcome you.

The Manistee River is very clean, the scenery is beautiful and the trips are the most peaceful you will ever experience.  The wildlife is abundant – deer, ducks, beaver, mink, otter, turkey, and often the majestic bald eagle with their nests close by.

The Manistee River averages 2 to 4 feet deep and the current is moderate.  It is fast enough to carry you with minimal paddling, but slow enough to make it perfect for even the most inexperienced.

The Manistee offers some of the best trout fishing you can find. The season is open from the lst Saturday in April to the last Saturday in September.
Fishing Guides are available.

Happi Days Campground Welcomes You

Happi Days Campground will be closed, October 31, 2014 - April 2, 2015
Is it Spring yet? Not quite, less than 50 days until we get to open back up! I am excited to get back at it!

A big THANK YOU to all the campers who made our first season running the campground a success. To say it has been a learning experience would be an understatement! We have laughed much, learned much, fixed much and met so many wonderful people. We look forward to next year and hope to see returning faces as well as new ones. Have a great winter!

We are located right on the ORV route to the trails. YES! You can suit up and take off right from your campsite. and YES we can accommodate your 40ft toy hauler! So come visit and tear it up (on the trails, not the campground of course)! We are near the AuSable river, many fishing lakes and hunting spaces. We are only 8 miles from the quaint little city of Grayling if you would like to plan a canoe trip or visit the downtown galleries and shops.  We are centrally located for you to use us as your home base as you explore northern Michigan, only 1 hour from Traverse City (Turtle Creek Casino) 1 hour 45 minutes from the Sleeping Bear Dunes, 1 hour to Mackinaw, 1 hour 30 minutes to Lake Huron shores.  Our family friendly campground is nothing fancy, no lakes or pools on site, just pure Michigan woods and relaxation.
